The Racso Project is taking a big step forward with Design+Peace! Newsom has been carrying the torch of hope for 52 days from London to Turkey to build our Eco Village in Hatay Samandağ!

Yazacakları mektupta kalem tutacak arkadaşıydı belki de gülümsediği ya da mektubun son cümlesini hoşçakal diye değil merhaba olarak tamamlayacak o çocuk.

Umutlar Yesersin Community, in collaboration with Design+Peace, visited the Unity Beautiful Area in January, just before the 1st anniversary of the earthquake. Bringing gifts to our children, the Umutlar Yesersin team spent enjoyable time with them and discussed with field workers where improvements could be made. At the same time, our team working on the Hope-Umut Women's textile workshop emphasized the need for more support in Hatay province for women and children, suggesting that future projects should take this into account.

Design+Peace led Muzip Tiyatro from Eskişehir, welcomed spring with our children in Hatay! The Muzip Theater team, who came from Eskişehir to Hatay, distributed happiness to our children by performing the Keloglan Tale in 3 different areas. They danced and celebrated the arrival of spring. We thank the Muzip Theater team, our transportation sponsor Mr. Naci Abay, our longtime supporter Umutlar Yesersin, Serinyol El Ele Dayanışma Derneği for opening their doors to us, and our dear Besir Yucedal for always supporting us.

Our new project PlayPark is a natural, organic playground designed for children aged 5-12 years. The project aims to foster physical and psychological development through play, utilizing sustainable materials and natural elements. The playground promotes creativity, teamwork, and community engagement, offering children a safe space to play and socialize.

Programımız 17 Mayıs 2024 Cuma günü katılımcıların kendi imkanlarıyla Nevşehir- Cappadocia Inans Cave Otel’e varışıyla başlıyor. 2 gece 3 gün sürecek turumuzda Yoga, Drama ve Sanat aktiviteleriyle dolu dolu geçerken, tabii ki Kapadokya’nın doğal güzelliklerinden de faydalanacağız.

The opening of our Culture-Art-Education Space, where we will organize psychosocial support, workshops, educational programs, and social activities for children and women aged 0-18 affected by the earthquake that occurred on February 6, 2023, in Hatay, will take place on August 25, 2023.

HUB - Birlikte Güzel, located in the Hatay Expo area, is a multi-purpose facility designed as a space for healing, learning, and empowerment. This space offers workshops, educational activities, and therapeutic services, to aid the psychological recovery and empowerment of women and children affected by the February 2023 earthquakes in Hatay, Turkey.

In the heart of Hatay, we’re nurturing resilience and joy in kids affected by the earthquake. Through engaging craft activities and colorful paintings, these amazing kids are rediscovering hope. Stay tuned for our upcoming women’s workshops in 2024, empowering and uplifting the community!

HOPE - Umut Kadınları broadens our mission to foster personal development for women and to meet the emotional and physical needs of children in distress. The 'Birlikte Güzel' Space is being transformed into a nurturing hub that houses a sewing workshop, aimed at creating job opportunities for local women. The products crafted here are purposed to aid children in need, thus nurturing a cycle of communal solidarity and sustainable growth.
