Design+Peace's Kids and Family Camp at Hakoni House
About the Event
An Unforgettable Experience in Nature
Design+Peace held its first children and family camp from November 4-6 at Hakoni House in Ardeşen, Rize, with 23 children and 40 participants. The camp provided a memorable experience filled with fun and valuable life lessons. It aimed to combine enjoyment with social responsibility, offering activities in nature, sustainability workshops, art projects, and yoga.
Building Empathy and Social Responsibility
Throughout the camp, both children and families contributed to communities in Hatay and earthquake-affected regions. Funds raised from the event were directed to Design+Peace’s social responsibility projects in these areas. The children also wrote letters of support to their peers in Hatay, fostering empathy and solidarity.
Looking Ahead to Future Camps
We would like to express our gratitude to all participants who helped make this first camp a success. With preparations already underway for the 2025 camps, we look forward to future opportunities for community connection, creativity, and support. We are open to suggestions and sponsorships as we continue this impactful journey.
